I’m spending the end-of-year holidays in Croatia. If the duration and intensity of the New Year’s fireworks are an indicator of the current economic situation and what’s to come in 2023, it will be tight and tough.
It seems that my concerns from March 2022 were substantiated.

a few days after my post. He ended his post with (emphasis mine):
There is a pattern to much of this and it is that 2023 is going to be a tough year for most but those that get through it should find themselves in a good place, with leaner cost structures, less competition, and healthier employer/employee dynamics. Surviving is thriving in 2023.
